Job summary

Maricopa County Correctional Health Services is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the jail health team in Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities include administering medications, delivering patient care, and assisting in care planning for inmates across day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN license issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing (or a multi-compact license recognized by AZ Board).

• Experience with IV therapy/venipuncture is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform related pharmacological procedures.
• Provide direct nursing care and health assessments for inmates.
• Monitor patient progress and report outcomes to the health team.
• Assist in planning and evaluating nursing care, and participate in orientation of new staff.
