Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join the team at Gilmer County Jail in Ellijay, GA. This full-time role offers a steady Monday–Friday schedule with a 5:30 AM start and 8-hour shifts.

You will administer meds, document care, and collaborate with providers to deliver quality correctional healthcare. We value compassionate, dependable nurses with GA LPN licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Georgia LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong assessment and medication administration skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative healthcare team.
• Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments as ordered.
• Completing medication passes safely and accurately.
• Monitoring patients and recognizing changes in condition.
• Assisting with sick call and intake screenings.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Working alongside providers and other healthcare professionals.
• Providing compassionate, professional patient care.
• Helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
