Job summary

The SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Office of Mental Health in Anderson, SC seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct care to adult psychiatric patients and administer medications under supervision. You will support learning and clinical competency through annual trainings and precept new staff.

Qualifications

Licensed by the SC State Board of Nursing (LLR).
Completion of an accredited LPN program or equivalent.
One year nursing experience in psychiatry preferred.
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments as ordered to admitted patients.
Provide direct care to adult psychiatric patients and maintain a therapeutic relationship.
Record data in the medical record in real time.
Precept newly hired LPNs and support non-licensed staff.
Attend mandatory trainings (MAPS/MANDT, CPR, SCEIS) yearly.
