Job summary

Discovery Senior Living in Orland Park, IL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a PRN role to enrich residents’ lives with compassionate nursing care and safety-focused service. You’ll work with an interdisciplinary team to uphold individualized care plans and maintain high standards of quality.

The position offers flexible scheduling, night and weekend shifts as required, competitive wages from $34.00 to $36.00 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license or RN per state requirements.
• Minimum of 2 years Licensed Nurse experience.
• Experience in assisted living/long-term care preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate when needed.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per individual care plans and policies.
• Assess residents and monitor changes in condition.
• Administer medications and document accurately.
• Coordinate with physicians, families, pharmacies and other providers.
• Support health promotion and wellness initiatives in the community.
• Ensure timely and compliant clinical documentation.
• Assist with care planning and resident evaluations as required.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Respond to emergencies with sound clinical judgment.
• Support training and guidance for care staff when appropriate.
• Comply with applicable regulations governing resident care.
• Participate in quality assurance and audits as needed.
