Job summary

Community Medical Services is urgently hiring a Nurse to administer medication to patients recovering from addictions. In the dosing nurse role, you’ll work under the Clinic Manager to conduct testing, maintain inventory, audit records, and assist providers in delivering a safe recovery environment.

Schedule: 4 days per week (Mon–Fri), 5:45am–3:45pm (10‑hour shifts) with every other Saturday, 7am–10am. Benefits include health insurance, HSA, disability, life insurance, 401K with match, CME

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN or RN in state of employment.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to travel to CMS sites.
• Valid Driver License and MV clearance.
• Experience with substance use disorders preferred.
• Knowledge of signs of intoxication and withdrawal.
• Reliability in transportation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by CMS providers.
• Monitor behavioral/medical symptoms related to dosage.
• Obtain vital signs, blood and urine samples.
• Process point-of-care urine drug screens per policy.
• Maintain accurate client records in the EHR.
• Document medication errors and adverse reactions.
• Deliver medications to external facilities.
• Maintain medication inventory records.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements.
