Job summary

Integrity Care Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers in examination and treatment, with responsibilities spanning patient intake, vitals, and basic procedures. The role may include front office tasks and ensuring patient confidentiality.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, MA program completion, and BLS certification. Two years of MA experience is preferred. The position is safety-sensitive with variable hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• MA course completion certification preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain current BLS certification.
• 2 years Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in waiting area and maintains courteous, professional flow to discharge.
• Obtains patient history, triages, records vitals, and documents on chart.
• Explains procedures and prepares patient and exam room for examination.
• Positions instruments and assists provider; cleans and sterilizes equipment.
• Assists with injections, medications, eye/ear irrigations, wound care; draws blood as directed.
• Performs diagnostic tests including eye exam, ECG, monitor, oxygen equipment, peak flow, inhalation treatments.
• Performs CLIA-waived lab tests and collects specimens for send-out.
• Prepares for lab pickup/shipment and ensures proper labeling.
• Assists with registration and performs clerical duties as needed.
• May perform basic x-rays or assist Radiology Technician.
