Join the MercyOne Family! We are hiring an LPN/Medical Assistant at the MercyOne Ottumwa Clinic.

As an LPN/Medical Assistant at MercyOne, you will support providers by ensuring a smooth patient flow, delivering a positive customer experience, and caring for clinic patients. Responsibilities include recognizing and assessing urgent/emergency needs, facilitating interdisciplinary communication, managing electronic medical records, assisting with procedures, maintaining aseptic techniques, and documenting patient interactions accurately.

Schedule:

• Full Time Days
• M-F 7a-5p, with a variable day off per week

General Requirements:

LPN

• Current LPN license issued by the State of Iowa
• Preferred clinic/physician office experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within three months of hire
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within three months of hire

Medical Assistant

• Current/valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
• Medication Aide certification or completed Medication Aide 40-hour course, if applicable
• Preferred clinic/physician office experience
• BLS certification or obtained within three months of hire
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within three months of hire

Education:

LPN

• Completion or near completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program

Medical Assistant

• Completion or near completion of an accredited Medical Assistance program
