Employment Details

Type: Full-time
Shift: Day Shift (Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm, with variable days off)

Role Description

As an LPN/Medical Assistant, you will support providers by ensuring efficient patient flow, delivering excellent customer service, and caring for clinic patients. You will also recognize and respond to urgent/emergency needs appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Manage electronic medical records according to clinic protocols.
• Assess patient and family understanding of treatment plans.
• Assist with procedures, exams, and diagnostic equipment operation.
• Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures and medication administration.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Report results and relevant information to patients and team members.

Qualifications

LPN

• Current LPN license issued by the State of Iowa.
• Preferred: Clinic/physician office experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within three months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.

Medical Assistant

• Current/valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
• Medication Aide certification or completion of a 40-hour Medication Aide course, if applicable.
• Preferred: Clinic/physician office experience.
• BLS certification within three months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.

Educational Requirements

• LPN: Near completion of an accredited LPN program.
• Medical Assistant: Near completion of an accredited Medical Assistance program.
