Job summary

UPMC | GoHealth Urgent Care in Rankins Corners, PA, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations. You will register patients, take vital signs, prepare them for exams, and assist providers with procedures to deliver an efficient, patient-centered experience.

We welcome candidates from clinical backgrounds; BLS is required at hire. The role offers incentive pay and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• MA experience preferred; front desk or patient registration experience preferred.
• CPOE certification within two weeks of start date.
• If MA certification not held, certifications such as CCMA CMA RMA NCMA NRCMA accepted.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance and documentation.
• Schedule appointments and process co-pays.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform vital signs and preliminary patient assessments.
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records.
• Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals.
• Perform opening/closing duties and ensure equipment quality checks.
