Job summary

UPMC | GoHealth Urgent Care is hiring Medical Assistants for our urgent care centers in Westmoreland County, PA. The role supports patient care from check-in to exam room, documents medical histories, and prepares patients for examination.

Minimum rate starts at $17/hour with monthly incentives based on performance; healthcare backgrounds (LPN, EMT, Paramedic, CNA) are encouraged to apply. BLS certification is required at time of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Front desk or patient registration experience preferred.
• Candidates with MA certification must obtain one within 15 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance and documentation.
• Schedule appointments and process co-pays.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Take vital signs and perform initial assessments.
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
