Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN. The role supports patient assessments, care coordination, education, and clear communication with the healthcare team to ensure compassionate, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include admissions/discharges, patient assessments, bedside handoffs, education for patients and families, and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Current LPN license in the state of practice.
• Ability to meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE or other unit-specific certifications as applicable.
• LPN-IV certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe, if applicable.

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Current LPN license in the state of practice.
• Ability to meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

Preferred

• BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire if not already obtained).
• ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., or other unit-specific certifications as applicable.
• LPN-IV certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe, if applicable).
