Job summary

Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Med Surg on a FULL TIME basis. The unit is 4 South - Medical Surgical, with 3x12 hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM and rotating weekends.

The LPN provides essential nursing care under RNs, conducts assessments, administers medications, and supports care plans while maintaining safety and compliance with state regulations. Serious about patient outcomes, teamwork, and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• LPN with state licensure required; 0–1 year of experience preferred.
• Current BCLS; ACLS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration and patient care practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision, monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders.
• Develop and evaluate patient care plans.
• Document care accurately in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and discharge care.
• Respond to medical emergencies as part of the code team.
