Job summary

The MetroHealth System seeks an LPN to provide direct nursing care for assigned patients under supervision, spanning infant through adult populations in the Long Term Care setting.

You will support nursing services, adhere to scope of practice, and uphold MetroHealth's mission and patient-centered standards. The role involves collaboration with RNs and physicians and requires licensure and BLS certification, with IV meds proficiency as specified.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing.
• Licensed by the State of Ohio with certification to pass medications.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Certified to pass IV medications or completed IV medication course within six months of employment.
• Ability to manage 14-45 residents at the completion of orientation (Long Term Care only).

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibilities for direct nursing care of assigned patients/residents, infant through adult, under supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• Provides nursing services to patients, residents, and families in accordance with the LPN scope of practice.
• Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
