Qualifications

• Working knowledge of MMD/MMQ rules and regulations.
• Excellent Resident Assessment Skills
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates ability in independent functioning and strong leadership.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; valid LPN license in Michigan required.

Responsibilities

• The MDS Coordinator provides assistance in Resident care planning activities, including the MDS and MMQ Process.
• Serves as a resource person for resident care planning activities.
• Completes MMQ and turnaround documents in a timely manner and communicates with appropriate state departments.
• Ensures that the quality and appropriateness of resident care meets standards and complies with regulations.
• Supports program development activities and participates in meetings and continuing education.
• Promotes optimal communication among program staff, facility staff, referral sources, physicians, and residents.
