JumpStart Games, Inc. in Lakeland, FL is seeking an LPN or Medical Assistant to provide basic medical and nursing care, ensure patient comfort, discuss health care with patients, and report status to RNs and providers.

Responsibilities include telephone triage, administering medications and injections, patient education, emergency response, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role supports physicians and maintains clinic flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing with active Florida license.
• One year experience or training in a healthcare facility as an LPN.
• High school diploma or GED; completion of accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year MA work experience in last 2 years.
• MA Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment; BLS certification or within first 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by telephone triage.
• Administers medications including injections and documents medications, as prescribed by physician.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Maintains and documents patient medical records following Clinical Services policies.
• Facilitates patient flow to maintain physician office efficiency.
• Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintains the integrity of the office.
