PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide direct patient care under RN supervision on the unit. The role emphasizes delivering care to medically complex or critically ill patients and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state (or compact) and BLS within 90 days are required. IV certification may be required by state regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides.
• BLS certification required; BLS must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN on the unit, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the LPN/LVN delivers care using the nursing process.
• Provide direct patient care to medically complex and/or critically ill patients requiring extended hospitalization.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to carry out individualized care plans.
• Gather and report data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures.
• May perform other related duties as assigned or requested
