Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma, AL, part of ScionHealth, is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join the LPN Nursing Float Pool. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision across Med/Surg, Pediatrics, OB/Post-Partum, and related units.

The role emphasizes efficient care delivery, compassionate patient support, and collaboration with the health care team within a high-demand community hospital. A valid LPN license and required certifications are essential.

Competenze

• Completion of a Practical Nursing program.
• Current State LPN License required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS required for OB Charge RN within 90 days.
• Experience as an LPN is preferred but not required.

Mansioni

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess patients and contribute to care planning.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• May administer medications as directed and document care provided.
• Assist RN with development and execution of the plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and essential needs.
• Monitor and communicate patient status to the team, including families.
• Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
• Assist in delivery, OB/Post-Partum, GYN, and neonate care as needed.
