Qualifications

• Completion of a Practical Nursing program.
• Current State LPN License.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire date.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required within 6 months of hire date.
• PALS required for OB Charge RN within 90 days as of 2024-06-20.
• Previous LPN experience not required, but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assist in patient assessment data collection.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; may administer medications; document care.
• Assist RN with development of the plan of care.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Monitor and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physicians, patients and families.
• Advocate for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
• Assist the RN during delivery and post-partum, and care for GYN and neonate patients.
