Job summary

Sevita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our ResCare Community Living team in Florida. The role focuses on nursing care, medication administration, and developing health plans for individuals with complex needs in home and community settings.

You will assess, document, and coordinate services within ISP for residents with brain injury or developmental disabilities, providing training to staff and collaborating with external professionals.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or related field or state certificate.
• One year of experience working with population served in a nursing capacity.
• Current state LPN or LVN licensure for state of residence.
• Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Other certifications as required by state licensing regulations (CPR/FA, HIV/AIDS, BBP, ACT).
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff, individuals served, and families.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health conditions of individuals served and ensure quality services.
• Administer medications and provide documentation, oversee and monitor staff administering medications.
• Provide prescribed medical treatment by physician’s orders and personal care services.
• Conduct assessments and implement health care services in ISP, respond to changes in condition.
• Provide staff training on self-medication, infection control, and medication administration.
• Liaise with medical providers and external agencies to coordinate services and ensure consistent treatment.
