Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician. You will administer medications, monitor resident status, and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policy.
• Perform resident assessments and monitor for changes in physical, cognitive or behavioral status.
• Supervise and delegate appropriately to Certified Nursing Assistants on the assigned unit.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the resident record and medication administration record.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the Registered Nurse, physician and family as appropriate.
• Follow infection control, safety and regulatory requirements governing long-term care practice.
