Zusammenfassung

The New York State Department of Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the care of residents under RN supervision. Responsibilities include administering certain medications, monitoring vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with daily living activities and housekeeping tasks within the Veterans Home at St. Albans.

Candidates must hold a current NYS LPN license; limited permits or transfers are considered. Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Current New York State LPN license is required.
• A limited permit to practice as an LPN in NYS may be acceptable.

Aufgaben

• Administer select medications under RN supervision.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition to RN.
• Record temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
• Obtain specimens for analysis as needed.
• Prepare and apply dressings; assist with bathing and feeding.
• Care for residents and their quarters, including making beds and moving residents.
• Participate in safety and daily care routines.
