Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking an LPN to provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. The role involves administering medications, assessing residents, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to maintain safety and quality of care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited practical nursing program with an active LPN license. Some positions may require IV therapy and state-specific competencies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
