TemPositions Group of Companies is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care in a primary care/health center setting in Central Islip, NY. The role supports physicians, NPs, and other healthcare staff with routine clinical tasks.
Schedule options include 10am–8pm four days a week or 8am–8pm three days a week. Hourly pay starts at $40, with benefits eligibility based on assignment type.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role focuses on providing direct patient care and supporting physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff in a primary care/health center setting.
Take patients'vital signs, height, and weight.
Draw blood and collect/processurine and other lab specimens.
PerformEKGs as ordered.
Assist physicians and NPs/PAs with patient care and gynecology procedures, including Pap testing.
Administer/support medication and treatment processes, including obtaining prescription authorizations.
Triage patient phone calls and follow up on labs, X-rays, and other testing.
Maintain accuratemedical records, lab logs, and documentation.
Prepare, clean, and sterilize examination rooms and medical instruments.
Schedule and confirm appointments and help manage the daily clinic workflow.
Educate patients about procedures, self-care, and health/wellness.
Maintain medical supplies, inventory, and emergency equipment.
Followinfection control, safety, confidentiality, and agency policies.
Participate in monthly Infection Control Committee meetings.
New York State LPN license.
CPR certification.
Associate's degree or equivalent education/experience.
Some related experience or training preferred.
Location: Central Islip, NY 11722.
Schedule: 10am - 8pm 4 days a week or 8am - 8pm 3 days a week
Pay rate: $40 an hour
