Job summary

The-Villages-of-Orlean in New York seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care under physician orders. This full-time role works in a team environment, administers medications, participates in care planning, and educates residents and families on health-related issues.

You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, document assessments, communicate changes to physicians, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. A valid NY State LPN license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid State licensure as an LPN.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients by physical examination, including pertinent diagnostic testing to determine health status.
• Administers medications and treatments.
• Participates in the care planning process.
• Supervises LPNs and certified nursing assistants.
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in resident's conditions, diagnostic test results, etc.

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

A licensed practical nurse (LPN) provides care and treatment in accordance with physician orders. Works in a team environment and within scope of practice as defined by State. The LPN works under the direction of physicians and registered nurses (RNs).
