Berkshire Post Acute Care at Wayne is actively seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for full-time shifts in our Nursing department. Compensation ranges from $35.81 to $42.39 per hour, with a sign-on bonus up to $1500. We welcome new grads and experienced LPNs alike, with training and orientation provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist CNAs with ADL and routine care.
• Perform resident treatments.
• Administer medications per orders.
• Submit pharmacy orders.
• Document and record information accurately.
• Give injections as prescribed.
• Monitor health and report to RNs/physicians.
• Take vital signs.
• Basic wound care and bandaging.
• Manage IVs and start IV drips.
• Monitor intake and output.
• Observe and report skin breakdowns.
• Assist in admissions process.

Key Responsibilities

Job responsibilities for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) include and are not limited to:

• Assisting CNAs in performing ADL and routine care.
• Conducting resident/patient treatments.
• Administering medication in accordance with physician orders and Plan of Care.
• Submitting pharmacy orders.
• Accurately documenting and recording all information.
• Giving injections of medication as prescribed.
• Observing resident health to communicate current condition to RNs, Supervisors, and Physicians.
• Taking vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature and weight.
• Basic care, including wound cleaning and bandaging.
• Managing IVs, starting IV drips.
• Monitoring fluid/food intake and output.
• Observing and reporting resident accidents, incidents and the presence of skin breakdowns.
• Assisting as directed in the admissions process.
