Job summary

Carnegie Post Acute is urgently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for morning and day shifts at the Princeton facility. The role centers on direct resident care, medication administration per care plans, and collaboration with RNs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current LPN licensure.
• Experience or willingness to work mornings or afternoons.

Responsibilities

• Assisting CNAs in performing ADL and routine care.
• Conducting resident/patient treatments.
• Administering medications per physician orders and care plan.
• Submitting pharmacy orders.
• Documenting and recording information accurately.
• Administering injections as prescribed.
• Monitoring resident health and communicating changes to RNs and physicians.
• Taking vital signs (BP, temperature, weight).
• Basic wound care, cleaning and bandaging.
• Managing IVs and starting IV fluids.
• Monitoring intake and output.
• Observing and reporting accidents or skin breakdowns.
• Assisting with admissions processes as directed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting CNAs in performing ADL and routine care.
• Conducting resident/patient treatments.
• Administering medication in accordance with physician orders and Plan of Care.
• Submitting pharmacy orders.
• Accurately documenting and recording all information.
• Giving injections of medication as prescribed.
• Observing resident health to communicate current condition to RNs, Supervisors, and Physicians.
• Taking vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature and weight.
• Basic care, including wound cleaning and bandaging.
• Managing IVs, starting IV drips.
• Monitoring fluid/food intake and output.
• Observing and reporting resident accidents, incidents and the presence of skin breakdowns.
• Assisting as directed in the admissions process.
