Job summary

FullShift Staffing in Bozeman, MT is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with leadership experience to manage day-to-day nursing operations in our long-term care setting.

You will administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high standards of care while adhering to facility policies and state guidelines. Experience with PointClickCare is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN in state.
• One-year nursing management experience preferred.
• Long term care experience.
• Point Click Care charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and use of Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Uses Quality Life Manual for patient identification and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely according to policy.
• Administers treatments timely according to policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN in state
• One-year prior nursing managementexperience preferred
• LONG TERM CARE EXPERIENCE
• PIONT CLICK CARE CHARTING EXPERIENCE
