Job summary

Sterling Care Bel Air is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our caregiving team. You will supervise staff and provide high-quality nursing care in a resident-centered setting.

Responsibilities include administering medications and injections, charting progress, and ensuring residents’ rights and dignity are respected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program
• Registered with the state as an L.P.N / Licensed Practical Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to residents in a setting that promotes rights, dignity, and choice.
• Supervises G.N.A.s and staff to ensure assignments are completed.
• Administer all parenteral, intramuscular, and sub-cutaneous injections.
• Administers medications per LPN scope and maintains narcotics records.
• Reviews daily documentation for controlled substances and narcotics.
• Places orders and administers newly prescribed meds and documents.
• Charts contemporaneous data and monthly resident evaluations.

Responsibilities as an (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse:

• Provides quality nursing care to Residents/residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, and freedom of choice.




• Provides supervision to G.N.A’s and all subordinate staff which includes checking their work to ascertain that assignments have been completed.




• Administer all parenteral, intramuscular, and sub-cutaneous injections.




• Administer medications within the scope of practice of the L.P.N Licensure. Maintain a current report of narcotics received and used.




• Review daily the documentation of the dispensing of the controlled substances and narcotics.




• Place pharmacy orders, for and administer all newly prescribed medications and document.




• Carry out direct contemporaneous charting in your shift. Chart detailed monthly evaluations of each Resident that reflect his/her condition and progress.
