Job summary

Rockville Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our skilled nursing team in Valley Stream, NY. The ideal candidate has a NY LPN license, a passion for geriatric care, and the ability to evaluate and treat residents with minimal supervision.

Shifts are 7AM-3PM with alternate weekends. We offer daily pay and benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, insurance, and more, with a competitive wage up to $40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current NY LPN license required.
• Willing to work alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for residents in the Skilled Nursing Unit and Long Term Care Unit.
• Medication administration, including IVs.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Provide resident care and treatments with monitoring of outcomes.
• Educate residents and families.
• Communicate with physicians, NPs, families and other health care professionals.
• Supervise CNAs.

The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of NY, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.
