Job summary

Rockville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our geriatric care team in a Skilled Nursing facility. The LPN will evaluate and treat residents independently, perform therapeutic activities, and coordinate care to enhance the resident experience.

Shifts are 7AM-3PM with alternating weekends. Salary is up to $40 per hour, with competitive wages and a strong benefits package in a welcoming, equal-opportunity environment.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in NY
• Willing to work alternating weekends

The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of NY, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

• Provide care for residents of our Skilled Unit (SNF) and Long Term Care Unit. Duties Include;
• Medication Administration, including IVs.
• Taking and recording vital signs.
• Providing resident care and treatments with monitoring of outcome.
• Provide resident and family education.
• Communication with physicians, NPs, families and other health care professionals.
• Supervising CNAs
