Job summary

Rockville Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our skilled nursing team. The LPN will provide resident care, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with physicians, NPs, and families. Supervisory duties include CNAs.

Requirements include a current NY LPN license and availability for alternate weekends; prior geriatric/long-term care experience is preferred. On-site shifts are 7AM-3PM, with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in NY.
• Alternate weekends required.
• Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for SNF residents and LTAC patients.
• Administer medications, including IVs.

The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of NY, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Job Description:

• Provide care for residents of our Skilled Unit (SNF) and Long Term Care Unit. Duties Include;
• Medication Administration, including IVs.
• Taking and recording vital signs.
• Providing resident care and treatments with monitoring of outcome.
• Provide resident and family education.
• Communication with physicians, NPs, families and other health care professionals.
• Supervising CNAs
