Job summary

Rockville Center is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care unit. The role includes medication administration, vital signs, patient care, and collaboration with physicians and CNAs. Shift 7AM-3PM; every other weekend required.

Salary up to $40/hour; equal opportunity employer. Candidate must hold NY LPN license, be able to work independently, and provide education to residents and families.

Qualifications

• Current NY LPN license is required.
• Alternate Weekends are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for residents in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care units.

The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of NY, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

• Provide care for residents of our Skilled Unit (SNF) and Long Term Care Unit. Duties Include;
• Medication Administration, including IVs.
• Taking and recording vital signs.
• Providing resident care and treatments with monitoring of outcome.
• Provide resident and family education.
• Communication with physicians, NPs, families and other health care professionals.
• Supervising CNAs
