Job summary

Rockville Center in New York seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care unit. The ideal candidate holds a NY LPN license, can assess and treat independently, and is dedicated to geriatric care.

Responsibilities include medication administration (IVs), vital signs, patient care, family education, and supervising CNAs. Shifts are 7AM-3PM with alternating weekends; salary up to $40 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in NY required.
• Able to work alternate weekends.

The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of NY, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Job Description:

• Provide care for residents of our Skilled Unit (SNF) and Long Term Care Unit. Duties Include;
• Medication Administration, including IVs.
• Taking and recording vital signs.
• Providing resident care and treatments with monitoring of outcome.
• Provide resident and family education.
• Communication with physicians, NPs, families and other health care professionals.
• Supervising CNAs
