Job summary

Brighton Rehabilitation & Wellness Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide care under physician orders in a team environment. The LPN works under the direction of physicians and registered nurses, administering medications and participating in the care planning process.

Schedules include every other weekend off, with a pay rate of $33 per hour for full-time work, plus a $5000 sign-on bonus and referral bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid State licensure as an LPN.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients by physical examination and pertinent testing to determine health status.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered.
• Participates in care planning and communicates changes with physicians.
• Supervises LPNs and CNAs under RN direction.
• Documents assessments and care aligning with standards and policy.
• Educates patients and families on health-related issues.
• Completes forms and paperwork per policy and regulations.

A licensed practical nurse (LPN) provides care and treatment in accordance with physician orders. Works in a team environment and within scope of practice as defined by State. The LPN works under the direction of physicians and registered nurses (RNs).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assesses patients by physical examination, including pertinent diagnostic testing to determine health status.
• Administers medications and treatments.
• Participates in the care planning process.
• Supervises LPNs and certified nursing assistants.
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in resident’s conditions, diagnostic test results, etc.
• Documents assessments and care in compliance with standards of care and company policy.
• Educates patients and their families on health-related issues.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Valid State licensure as an LPN.
• Current CPR certification.
