Seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager to oversee daily nursing operations in a long-term care facility.
Responsibilities Include
- Supervising licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, including evaluations, disciplinary actions, and coaching.
- Performing administrative tasks such as completing medical forms, reports, and charting.
- Maintaining quality assurance programs and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinating nursing services to ensure seamless resident care.
- Making independent decisions and communicating effectively with staff, residents, families, and external agencies.
- Applying knowledge of nursing practices, laws, and regulations relevant to long-term care.
- Demonstrating leadership and supervisory skills in a healthcare setting.
Qualifications Include
- Current LPN license for the practice state.
- Experience in healthcare supervision preferred.
- Post-secondary education with the ability to read, write, and follow directions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills.
