PrairieHeights is seeking a Nursing Supervisor (LPN/LVN or RN) to oversee day-to-day nursing care and supervise nursing assistants. You will ensure compliance with facility policies, coordinate shifts, and participate in quality assurance programs.

Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills are essential for fostering a safe, high‑quality care environment. The role requires current nursing licensure in the state, plus experience in supervision and long-term care settings.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
  • Active nursing license to practice in the state where employed.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with written policies and procedures established by the facility.
  • Review department policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions.
  • Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities with nursing staff and support personnel.
  • Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure adherence by staff.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of the facility’s quality assurance program.
  • Coordinate with government agencies during surveys and inspections.
  • Assist in discharge planning and case management related to nursing services.
