Job summary

Sonata Delray Beach is seeking an experienced nursing supervisor to lead the wellness team in our assisted living and memory care community. You will supervise HHAs and CNAs, administer medications per doctor’s orders, and ensure high‑quality resident care across shifts.

This full‑time role requires Florida nursing licensure, geriatric care experience, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings and every other weekend as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program, currently licensed to practice per state.
• Work experience in the geriatric field.
• Ability to communicate well and in writing.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise HHAs, CNAs and facility staff.
• Make daily rounds of Assisted Living residents and, if needed, retirement residents.
• Observe and report symptoms and conditions to DOW/RN/Physician.
• Administer medications and treatments per doctor’s orders safely.
• Inform DOW when supplies and equipment are needed.
• Order medications from pharmacy as needed.
• Supervise Home Health Aides to ensure proper care.
• Administer emergency first aid.
• Ensure proper nurse/HHA documentation and patient care tasks are carried out.
• Maintain cleanliness of nurse’s station, med room and cart.
• Assist in orientation of new staff.
• Complete admission and discharge evaluations as necessary.
• Check equipment cleanliness and condition.
• Provide guidance for nursing assistants.
• Promote good relationships with residents, visitors and staff.
• Carry out duties for both assisted living and independent residents.
