Job summary

Perimeter Healthcare is recruiting a Licensed Practical Nurse to perform selected nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse and the Director of Nursing for patients admitted to the facility.

The role requires an active LPN license, a high school diploma, and a PN diploma, with at least one year of experience in a mental health setting. BLS and Handle with Care training must be completed within 1 week of employment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma and a practical nursing diploma.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a mental health setting; psychiatric inpatient experience preferred.
• Active and unrestricted Practical Nurse license in the relevant state.
• Successful completion of BLS and Handle with Care within 1 week of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients under direction of the registered nurse and physician’s plan.
• Promote patient health through teaching and rehabilitative measures under supervision.
• Dispense medications under nurse direction and physician orders.
• Assist patients in learning appropriate self-care techniques.
• Coordinate care and exchange information with other health professionals.
