Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have a current, unrestricted LPN license in the state where the facility is located.
• Two (2) years of direct work experience preferred.
• Ability to work without direct supervision in performing nursing tasks.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

Responsibilities

• Develop nursing care plans with guidance from the RN.
• Perform complete physical assessments and medical history.
• Provide nursing care within your capacity and refer other medical problems to the physician.
• Ensure prescribed medications are administered as instructed.
• Document detainee/inmate contacts and maintain medical records confidentiality.
