Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Maryland to contribute to patient care under RN supervision. The role includes administering medications, assisting in procedures, and participating in treatment planning within a nursing team.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Prefer a minimum of one year clinic experience.
• Current LPN/LVn licensure in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assesses patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions and contributes to treatment planning.
• Administers medications, including IV therapy (if certified), per established protocols.
• Counts controlled substances at shift start, following safety techniques and standard precautions.
• Assists in procedures, documents nursing encounters using SOAP, and communicates with staff and physicians.
• Attends mandatory meetings and training to ensure high-quality patient care.
