Job summary

The LPN II at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System provides nursing care for assigned patients, supporting the RN in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This role uses advanced skills after education and training.

Full-time, on-site position requiring Florida LPN licensure, IV and arrhythmia certifications, and basic computer skills. Background screening is required for all caregivers per system policy.

Qualifications

• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or meet Florida Board requirements.
• IV certification (30 hours).
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within ninety days of employment.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse license.

Job Summary

The LPN II implements nursing care for assigned patients. The LPN II assists the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care. The LPN II utilizes advance skills in patient care after education and training.

Required Qualifications

• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Require graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing, or otherwise meet the educational requirements as outlined by the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Require thirty (30) hour IV certification.
• Require successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within ninety (90) days of employment.

Required License and Certs

• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
• FL LPN: FL Licensed Practical Nurse

Preferred License and Certs

• Three 10-hour shifts. Departure Lounge operation hours are M-Sat. 0800-1830 and Sunday 0900-1730.
