Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an LPN II to provide nursing care for assigned patients and to assist the RN in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. The LPN II applies advanced patient care skills after completion of education and training.

Job Summary

The LPN II implements nursing care for assigned patients. The LPN II assists the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care. The LPN II utilizes advance skills in patient care after education and training.

Required Qualifications

• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Require graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing, or otherwise meet the educational requirements as outlined by the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Require thirty (30) hour IV certification..
• Require successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within ninety (90) days of employment.

Required License and Certs

• BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
• FL LPN: FL Licensed Practical Nurse

Preferred License and Certs

Varying days of the week/12 hour night shifts/6pm-6:30am/Holidays and weekends required
