Qualifications

• Possession of a valid LPN license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Six months of nursing experience in a health care facility.
• Current AHA BLS/CPR and other required unit certifications.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Excellent attendance and work history.

Responsibilities

• Carries out or assists with diagnostic procedures and recording subjective and objective findings.
• Performs therapeutic procedures including binders, bandages, heat/cold applications.
• Administers oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections.
• Performs intravenous therapy as directed by RN or physician.
• Communicates with patients to assess emotional and mental well-being.
• Charts and reports nursing care activities and observations.
• Performs narcotics audits by counting supply and reporting discrepancies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
