The position requires a valid LPN license in Illinois, 6 months of nursing experience, and current BLS/CPR certification. Eligible benefits include health and retirement plans with a 24-hour work week schedule.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid LPN license issued by the Illinois Department.
• Six months nursing experience in a health care facility.
• Current AHA BLS/CPR certification and other required unit-specific certifications.
• Effective communication skills to facilitate therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and health care providers.
• Intermediate computer skills with the ability to become proficient in the EHR system on the job.
• Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills and work history.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic procedures and document subjective and objective findings.
• Carry out therapeutic procedures including dressings and applying heat or cold packs.
• Administer oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections as directed.
• Perform intravenous therapy as directed by an RN or physician.
• Communicate with patients to assess emotional and mental well-being.
• Chart and report nursing care activities and observations.
• Perform narcotics audits by counting stock and reconciling records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
