Job Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities To Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Checking vital signs(blood pressure, temperature, ht, wt)
  • Administering vaccines to infants, children and adults
  • Assisting with hearing, dental and vision exams
  • Accurately documenting in the facility's EMR
  • Employee will report directly under supervision of a registered nurse and County Nurse Manager.

All East Central health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED Graduate of an accredited LPN program with passage of NCLEX-PN exam

At least 1 year experience as a LPN

Preferred Qualification

Public Health experience

Experience in an outpatient/ambulatory care

High volume setting

MAPEP

Under the pre-employment fitness-for-duty this position is considered a

  • Category 4: Health-related:

Positions where medical knowledge and skills are required, such as nurses or therapists.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
