Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Practical Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• Complete a Customer Service Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits by reviewing history, collecting vitals, and documenting in the medical record.
• Complete POE and address care gaps during the patient encounter.
• Prepare room and equipment for procedures and assist the practitioner as needed.
• Initiate interventions and document responses to treatment.
• Participate in emergency care as directed by practitioner.
• Educate patients and provide preparation materials for diagnostic studies.
• Schedule appointments for labs, radiology, or specialty consultations.
• Monitor electronic messaging and InBasket related to patient or provider requests.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and coordinate care with families.
• Engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of care.
• Resolves patient concerns promptly.
• Provide department orientation and training of new team members.
