Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Georgia seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse I (LPN I). Under supervision, you provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients and families to promote health and prevent illness.

You educate patients and assist with care coordination following Georgia Board of Nursing standards and organizational policies. You will collaborate with the Health Care Team, document in medical records, assist with procedures, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Georgia Practical Nurse License required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• Customer Service Assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for office visit by reviewing history and vital signs.
• Complete POE and address care gaps during encounters.
• Prepare room and assist with procedures as needed.
• Document interventions and responses to treatment.
• Support emergency care as directed by clinician.
• Educate patients and provide preparation materials for diagnostics.
• Schedule lab, radiology, or specialty appointments.
• Monitor electronic messages related to patient or provider requests.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and team coordination.
• Engage patients and caregivers in care coordination.
• Resolve patient concerns promptly.
• Provide department orientation and training for new staff.
