Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current LPN licensure in the state of employment.
• 6 months LPN experience preferred.
• Active BLS for Healthcare Providers from AHA or Red Cross.
• For Hope employees: BLS by Jan 1, 2025.
• For Capital Caring employees: BLS by Nov 1, 2024.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Flexible schedule to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, provide nursing tasks to patients and families per plan of care.
• Demonstrate clinical skills in medication administration, symptom management, and patient relations.
• Monitor patients for changes and report to RN.
• Communicate findings to physicians/APRNs/physician assistants.
• Perform venipuncture for blood specimens.
• Observe CVL site and manage IV therapies per policy.
• Document in medical records.
• May be required to work at designated locations during emergencies.
• Cross training to other Hospice House positions may be required.
