Job summary

Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital is seeking an LPN for an acute care unit serving seniors. Under RN direction you will assess patients, perform delegated tasks, and assist with medications within the LPN scope. Shifts are full-time, three 12-hour days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

You will administer treatments, monitor vitals, collect specimens, and provide patient care with emphasis on safety and comfort for older adults.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current Practical Nurse license in the State of Michigan.
• CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial and ongoing assessment of assigned patients under RN direction.
• Perform delegated tasks including venipuncture for specimens and basic lab procedures.
• Initiate and discontinue IVs and indwelling catheters as directed by RN/physician.
• Perform bedside nursing care such as ECGs, dressing changes, respiratory support, vital signs.
• Administer physician-directed treatments and assist with activities of daily living as appropriate.
