Job summary

Maplewood at Twinsburg is seeking an LPN to join our Nursing team. The LPN Wellness Nurse assists the Resident Services Director with nursing services, supports residents and families, and provides direct care under RN supervision.

This full-time evening shift (6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.) offers competitive wages and a chance to touch lives. Must be an Ohio-licensed LPN with at least two years of clinical experience and a passion for elder care; physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed in Ohio.
• Two years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
• Experience and/or interest in working with older adults.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents and staff.

Position Summary:

The LPN Wellness Nurse assists and supports the Resident Services Director with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of nursing services in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Medication administration
• Direct care and service to residents
• Teaching and wellness counseling
• Health Promotion
• Participation in assessments under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RN)
• Support of residents and families
• Oversight of Certified Nursing Assistants
• Training of associates and auditing of care
• Completing monthly in-service training as required

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

• Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the State
• Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience
• Experience and/or special interest working with older adults
• Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members
• In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases
